Hello group, i want to thank the people below for their reply on my question. In my opinion the easiest way is the 1st_table extension, that Jack O'Connell mentioned. But this extension shareware. You can retrieve it from www.shareit.com The other solutions are very useful to. The Coordinate Tool Box from Dr. Arun K. Saraf, does not change the decimal spaces in the table, but in the view. =20 Pedro Janssen pedro@plex.nl ----- Joszef Fabian There is not directly, but you may use a workaround. First create a new field with the proper decimals and copy all values to it with the field calculator. Then delete the old field and create it again with the proper decimals. Copy your values back to it and delete the fake field. I have to mention that DBase's, FoxBase's, FoxPro's etc. modyfy structure commands are working the same way, but in ArcView you have not such a command. Do not try to modify the structure in the above mentioned softwares because you may get in trouble with the indices connectind dbf to the shp. Lyes Mokkraoui There is no direct way to do that in ArcView (in my knowledge) unless if you create a new field and repopulate the cells. The way I solved the problem was by opening the dbf file in Excel and set the number of decimal points. Please see attached image. Load you theme again, or if it is loaded, refresh the table.
